Crystal’s Bridal Session at Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth

When Crystal stepped into Marty Leonard Chapel for her bridal session, she carried with her a calm sweetness that perfectly matched the timeless beauty of this iconic Fort Worth chapel. She may describe herself as shy, but once she saw the sneak peeks on our camera, her face lit up with excitement — especially when it came time to show off her emerald green heels (the perfect pop of personality beneath her elegant lace gown).

When Crystal stepped into Marty Leonard Chapel for her bridal session, she carried with her a calm sweetness that perfectly matched the timeless beauty of this iconic Fort Worth chapel. Crystal was a bit reserved at first, but once she saw the sneak peeks on our camera, her face lit up and you could tell her confidence grew — especially when it came time to show off her emerald green heels (the perfect pop of personality beneath her elegant lace gown).

Crystal started the session a little nervous, but by the end, she was relaxed, laughing, and fully enjoying the moment. Her quiet confidence and radiant smile reminded us exactly why we love bridal sessions so much — they give brides a chance to slow down, soak in the beauty of this season, and see themselves exactly as their loved ones will on wedding day. Crystal’s mom came along and was a big help with straightening her gown, making sure hairs were in place, and encouraging her! (We got some great photos of the two of them too, but we’re gonna save those for the wedding post cuz they’re just too good!)

Her dress was simple yet stunning — an A-line silhouette with delicate lace details, a flowing train, and dainty straps that gave it an airy, romantic feel. She paired it with classic accessories: a pearl bracelet, a delicate drop necklace, and soft curls pinned half-up. The look was understated in all the right ways, letting the details shine without ever feeling overdone.

For her session, we made sure to capture the details that mattered most to her — including her request for a dramatic shot looking out through the chapel doors, her beautiful train cascading behind her. We focused on her dainty details, her joyful smiles, and of course, the incredible natural light that Marty Leonard Chapel offers.

Of course, one of the stars of this session was Marty Leonard Chapel itself. Known for its striking architectural design, soaring windows, and warm wood tones, the chapel creates an atmosphere that feels both grand and serene. The natural light pouring through the windows was every photographer’s dream, and we made sure to highlight it in every way we could. From the sweeping view of the chapel doors to the glowing light around the altar, this venue gave Crystal the perfect backdrop to showcase her bridal look.

If you’re a bride considering a Marty Leonard Chapel bridal session, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • The natural light and architecture are unbeatable for portraits.

  • The location is convenient, and the staff (including the chapel director) are so welcoming and kind.

  • When you book your wedding here, you’ll receive an hour for your bridal or engagement session — a huge bonus.

  • For the best light, book in the late afternoon or evening. Crystal’s session took place between 7:30–8:30 pm in July, and the glow was incredible.

  • And yes, the air conditioning inside is a lifesaver for Texas summers!

Crystal’s session was a beautiful reminder of why Marty Leonard Chapel remains one of our favorite places for bridal portraits in Fort Worth. Between her calm elegance, her little bursts of excitement, and the timeless backdrop of the chapel, every image tells a piece of her story.
