When Crystal stepped into Marty Leonard Chapel for her bridal session, she carried with her a calm sweetness that perfectly matched the timeless beauty of this iconic Fort Worth chapel. She may describe herself as shy, but once she saw the sneak peeks on our camera, her face lit up with excitement — especially when it came time to show off her emerald green heels (the perfect pop of personality beneath her elegant lace gown).

Shooting with family can go one of two ways… either it’s the easiest thing in the world and everyone has a great time, or it’s an unmitigated disaster that ruins relationships. Thankfully, Cait’s sister Calli and our brother-in-law Elijah are some of our favorite people in the world!
Recently, we had the joy of photographing their maternity session at Stem & Light Studio in Waxahachie, TX, and it was such a fun, sweet, and very real shoot (complete with toddler meltdowns, laughter, and a few sneak peek smiles that made it all worth it).
Welcoming a new baby into the family is always worth celebrating, and getting to shoot Calli & Elijah’s maternity photos for baby number 2 was truly an honor. It’s one of the most beautiful ways to preserve that season of anticipation, especially in this case because Calli was READYYYY for that baby to come out.
